How do I ... ?Once you've made the decision to reserve us, (and have verified that we are available), you can find reservation information here. Back to TopWhat is included ... ?Our packages and prices can be found here, and we think we've put together a very good and very affordable mix of offerings to suit most needs. We also get asked (quite often) if we can reduce our prices by eliminating some included features, or offer a bargain basement price if you just want to keep things simple. We have already reduced our prices to the minimum that we need to stay in business, so if you need to spend something less than our package prices, we're sorry to say that you might need to keep on searching! Our packages generally include up to an hour of on location time, including the ceremony, and we have many years of experience in getting all we (and you) need in that time frame. Our pricing is based on a very time tested formula that works! We are asked nearly every day to customize packages, and after nearly loosing our minds trying to keep track of everyone's individual requests, we are sticking with our offerings. We do make changes from time to time in order to be real about a sagging economy, or to incorporate new features into our packages, so visit our website often, even if you've already reserved us! Back to TopWhy don't ... ?The answer to that is simple... our prices are based on the amount of time and effort required for your photo shoot. We are specialists in small and intimate weddings on the beach or in parks and garden settings, and only do the photography for your processional, the ceremony, some after ceremony spontaneous and guided images, some group photographs, and you are on your way! Rest assured that we are absolutely awesome at romantic photography, and your images will be something you treasure forever! As for the time of day that is best, we strongly suggest either early morning or an hour or so before the actual sunset. You will beat the heat and crowds for one thing, but also the lighting on the beach can be harsh and very very bright, with strong shadows and the resulting squinty eyes that fit on Popeye better than a glamorous bride! Strong overhead light with a bright and crowded beach leaves us with few options... but we can still get some good shots! It's just so much better earlier and later in the day! Back to TopWho are you people ... ?We are Beachpeople! We are a husband and wife team with many years of experience with small and intimate, casual to semi-formal beach wedding ceremonies and photography. We are licensed with the state of North Carolina as professional photographers, and are members of the chambers of commerce for Myrtle Beach, Southport/Oak Island, and Pleasure Island (Carolina Beach). While we came to photography later in our lives and did not attend college for full photography degrees, we learned our trade in the school of hard knocks, having taken thousands (and more thousands) of images on our area beaches under every condition our Carolina weather (and Carolina beach weddings) can throw at us. And with over a thousand beach weddings photographed, we have developed a style that is uniquely our own! We have attended workshops and seminars with many of the leaders in the field of photography and image processing such as Scott Kelby, Vincent Versace, and Joe McNally, and with photo artists such as Karen Sperling and Marilyn Sholin. We are members of several professional photography organizations, including WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) and NAPP (National Association of Photoshop Professionals), and spend our off season down time traveling and learning and developing our love for and knowledge of professional wedding photography! Photography and photo art are not just a means to an end for us... it's our passion! Back to TopWhat kind of equipment ... ?We use professional grade digital Nikons with a great mix of top quality lenses... from fisheye to telephoto, and always have spares to cover your event. We have two photographers for after ceremony picture taking, and are skilled with both fill light and natural light photography. We maintain our cameras to keep them operating smoothly, and upgrade every year to the newest equipment as needed. Back to TopWhy should we choose you ... ?Because we are reiki practitioners, beach hippies, and card carrying love monkeys! Our photography style is a mix of documentary, posed and guided, spur of the moment, and always romantic! We often pic and choose certain images to apply some artistic effects to, with a mix of color and black and white with an attitude! We are also proud new owners of a lab converted Nikon digital camera for infrared B&W imagery! We are fun to work with and very easy going people who know how to have your special day be fun, human, and relaxed. Back to Top |
