Ceremony of Keys

(with this special ceremony the bride presents to her beloved a set of engraved keys, one at a time, that represent a trust and sharing of self. The bride will present each key and repeat words after the officiant. Of course, the keys are yours (or should I say "his") to keep! He will need them someday!

Minister:

"Love is everything. It is the sharing of words and of silences, and the holding of memories that only the heart can see. On this special day, (Bride) gives her beloved gifts of love that only she can give; the keys to open the many doors to the mysteries of her heart, her spirit, her dreams and desires, and to all that makes her be the amazing and special person that she is.

Always remember (groom), that a mysterious creature a woman can be. As you gaze into her eyes, it's not the woman you're looking at, but the girl that you see."

Bride repeats after officiant: 

With this key, unlock the door to my dreams: May we dare to dream/ the most wondrous of dreams. With this key/ come journey with me/ into my world/ of dreams and desires.

With this key, unlock the door to my love: With this key/, open the door/ to a love that is as deep as the sea/, filled with gifts/ that are yet to be discovered.

With this key, unlock the door to my heart: The key to my heart/ I give to you. Keep it safe./ Carry my heart… carry it your heart.

With this key, unlock the door of my secrets: May this key remind us/ to share our deepest secrets/ and to always be honest with each other./ May we always trust/ that we are safe/ in each others arms.

With this key, unlock the door of memories: May this key/, open the way/ to beautiful and life long memories together./ At the end of our days/ when we're old and gray/ may our memories be of sunsets and sunrises, sandcastles and buried treasure that only the moon could find.

With this key, unlock the door of my life: Life is a dance! May I have this dance/ for the rest of my life?!

With this key, unlock the door of the journey: With this key/, we step across a threshold/ as husband and wife/, a new and sacred journey/ that we willingly enter together/ so that we may share each others joys and sorrows./ I commit to you this day/ that in your arms/ we will journey to the farthest star and back again... together!
