Offering ceremonies as special as you are!

Here at Beachpeople, as part of our Holistic spiritual practices, we have one major big time goal in mind for your wedding experience, and that is to create a place for your inner child to come out and marry your soul-mate's inner child! This is the part of each of you that simply loves life, loves each other, and loves to delight in shared feelings! To that end, we've developed all kinds of ceremony options that range from conch shell blowing, drum playing, ship's bell ringing, Dr. Seuss rhyming, romantic wording, beach themed, wave jumping, and just outright having fun! You can even use our hand made Talking Stick while you say your vows to each other!

We are proud of our ceremony offerings... ranging from the traditional, ocean or beach themed, several versions of hand-fasting, and the classic Ceremony of Hands, all with our own special blend of unique and fun officiating style. There is never a need to memorize or be nervous! I'm on your side so that you experience what you need to feel without the usual wedding nausea that many couples associate with their wedding memories!

And unlike most other commercial wedding services, our sand ceremony is always free, and always offered with our beach ceremonies! We have several versions that can include children or blended families, and has both traditional, romantic wording... or fun and romantic Dr. Seussian Green Eggs 'n Ham versions! And you will take your sand home with you in a heart shaped bottle... scooped up from the very ground (or should I say beach) that you actually stand on while you say your vows to each other.

Our "Wedding Unplugged" is another great example of the variety in ceremony styles that we offer. In this ceremony, we will be sitting down on a beach blanket or standing (it's up to you!), experiencing a wedding like none other you've seen or experienced! This will be a conversation with questions asking you both how you met, how you first knew it was true love, and and more questions that will be sweet, romantic, personal; a romantic give and take that is both fun and intimate, and can be tailored just for you! You will be writing each other's names in the sand, and scooping the words up for a sand ceremony, and you will be taking that very sand home with you in a cork stoppered heart shaped bottle. But before the cork gets installed, I will capture the sound of the sea, the rays of the setting sun, and some of our warm ocean breezes in your bottle so that one special moment in time will be with you always! This ceremony is a package deal that includes special music, a flower circle and palm trees, and very personal and romantic photography. Please inquire!

Wedding By the Sea. This ceremony captures the essence of your love for each, all in wording that features waves and sunsets, seagulls and beach crabs! And with the sand under your bare feet and ocean rollers meeting the shore.... you may never want to leave!

A Beach is Like a Marriage Ceremony. This ceremony captures the essence of the beach and how it relates to a marriage! There is brief shell necklace presentation, and maybe we can all jump in the ocean after!

"Taking the Plunge" after your wedding ceremony. This is my personal favorite idea! You both have my leave to jump in the ocean after your ceremony is finished! Yep, you read that right... the bride can wear a bathing suit under a colorful sarong or wrap, and the guys can wear a nice shirt with a plain colored or beige colored set of bathing trunks.... and it's off for a dip to "baptize" your new union. (And to cool off in the process!) The minister can offer this blessing before we jump:

"The ocean, being the powerful force that she is, will often times grant blessings to those who embrace her with childlike love in their hearts. So please allow love for the mother ocean, her endless bounty, and all of our best wishes for this newly married couple to enter our hearts. On the count of 3, jump into the sea! 1, 2, 3, jump into the sea"

This is great for fun and exciting post ceremony photography , and a great stress reliever as well. Highly recommended by myself, the Old Beach Crab! (Of course, wearing your wedding attire in the ocean sure saves on cleaning bills!)

Hand fasting. This ancient and honored ceremony comes in several versions... one nature based, and one just plain fun but still romantic.

A passing of the "Ocean Drum" as each participant creates the sound of the rolling surf, and with each passing the officiant recites a blessing of the sea.

A request for a blessing from the 4 directions... a Native American based ceremony that brings us together with the Grandmothers and Grandfathers of the north, south, east, and west...after which we will drum together for a prayer of intension. (Shaman Blessing to the 4 Directions with frame drums)

 Native American Wedding Ceremony ... our full version native American based ceremony that includes traditions adapted from this wonderful culture!
